ABOUT MY WORK…

Though I’ve been Extremely Online most of my life, I’ve been writing and creating digital content for 14 years (you can see my portfolio here). I found my niche writing about beauty, culture, and style in 2013, and by 2017, I was running the beauty and style sections of a major women’s lifestyle site. I was living in New York. I had everything I ever wanted.

And then I decided to do things differently.

Readers, consumers, and social audiences are tired — as I became — about the constant focus on the unattainable. We’re over generic news articles, tired story ideas, and the glorification of one single, exclusive way to be beautiful. Style is not a size, or a shape, or an age, or a skin tone. It’s about self-expression, and all the amazing ways we wake up and feel awesome every day of our lives. That’s what I’m passionate about, and that’s the energy I bring to my editorial, branded, and strategic work.

I’ve also pitched and moderated panels at SXSW, created and executed campaigns for brands like Urban Decay, Revlon, Pantene, Clinique, and Stuart Weitzman, and appeared on The Today Show, where I’m proud to say I told a Donald Trump joke straight to Kathie Lee’s face. I’m currently taking on select freelance work, so please do get in touch!

About me AS A PERSON…

Born and raised in Australia, I immigrated to the US when I was 16. I graduated with degrees in psychology and English from DePaul University, and if that’s not proof that your career can take you in unexpected directions, I don’t know what is.

I love reading, drawing, indoor gardening, and really cheesy pop music. My wardrobe is 95% black. I’ve been learning how to needlepoint and how to bake really good bread; one of those things comes much easier than the other.

I currently live in Philadelphia with my husband, our diabetic dog, and 80+ plants. I’m writing my first novel.
